Directionless Freedom
So now I'm free,
Free from a belief that strangled my spirit,
Free from people who crushed my heart,
Free to do whatever I please,
The question is,
What will please me?
I feel as if I've travelled across the world,
since my merry fifteen,
the world turning at an amazing speed,
blinding to my eyes as I ran,
ran forward,
confused and lost,
clinging to whatever seemed firm and true,
It nearly destroyed me,
shattered me into millions of pieces,
and during a process of two long years,
I put myself together again,
And now I've come full circle,
Directionless and confused again,
But at least I'm free.
And that's all that matters.
